“A friend introduced me to support groups shortly after taking placement of my grandchildren.  I can honestly say there were weeks that I could not wait to attend the support group.  The people were friendly, easy to talk to and relatable.   Just having a place to go to to talk, to cry, to ask questions has made this very difficult process that much easier to manage.”

The Village Support Groups

The Village offers a variety of Support Groups throughout the month.  These groups provide an opportunity for all Resource Parents, including Kinship Caregivers, to share stories, personal experiences, seek advice, find resources and more.  Experienced facilitators, who are caregivers themselves, will be on-hand to guide the group, provide support and to answer questions in a confidential, non-judgmental space.  Below you will find a description of each of our Support Groups.  Click on the + sign on the right of each group for more details.
