Village Support Groups

The Village offers a variety of Support Groups throughout the month.  These groups provide an opportunity for all Kinship Caregivers to share stories, personal experiences, seek advice, find resources and more.  Experienced facilitators, who are caregivers themselves, will be on-hand to guide the group, provide support and to answer questions in a confidential, non-judgmental space.  Click here to view our calendar for detailed information about our monthly support groups.

Held monthly, on the 4th Tuesday of each month, our experienced foster and adoptive parents are on hand to facilitate all Kinship foster and adoptive parents as we share our experiences, challenges and successes.  Our goal is that everyone in attendance would feel welcomed, valued and like they are able to share real life experiences in a space that is safe, friendly and non-judgemental.

“A friend introduced me to support groups shortly after taking placement of my grandchildren.  I can honestly say there were weeks that I could not wait to attend the support group.  The people were friendly, easy to talk to and relatable.   Just having a place to go to to talk, to cry, to ask questions has made this very difficult process that much easier to manage.”
